Communications Manager - Strategy And Transformation Job Description

We have a story to tell! Based in GHD's Houston, West coast, or Sydney office, the Communications Manager of GHD's Strategy and Transformation, will champion the optimization of our corporate communications platform to assist the embedment of our Strategy and accelerate the enterprise’s ongoing transformation for all GHD people. Through the delivery of strategic counsel, change management and timely communications support, you will deliver fully integrated communications plans that meaningfully develops our culture and evolve our organization.
Specific responsibilities in this role include:
  • Ensuring communication strategies and content are developed with a consistent focus on optimizing the Employee and Client experience
  • Supporting the global People community in providing the direction and processes to ensure consistency and cohesion of messaging across the enterprise, while maintaining quality to ensure continuous improvement
  • Executing marketing and communication initiatives and campaigns as agreed, including content for REALity Check (quarterly), iConnect articles, Scoop (quarterly), Panorama (quarterly) and the digital delivery of global town halls
  • Creating communication plans and related marketing materials to support enterprise initiatives as briefed by respective People Leaders across the GHD enterprise
  • Collaborating and providing communication support to Regional Marketing Managers and broader business as required to ensure global alignment of messaging
  • Contributing to and supporting the global content planning calendar across all Businesses, including all social media channels
  • Writing and editing copy for social media, REALity Check newsletter and select iConnect articles as well as other communication channels as agreed
  • Actively using surveys and data driven decision making to determine new opportunities for employee engagement to improve internal communication
  • Reporting and providing insights on the outcomes of programs and key initiatives
For success in this position, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent field of study
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience including experience managing, developing and implementing fully integrated strategic communications, to advance business outcomes and goals
  • A creative problem solver able to produce outstanding, appropriate and memorable communication campaigns
  • Ability to take briefs directly from senior executives to all people across the organization
  • Skilled communicator, able to convince on paper, online and in person with highly development written, oral, interpersonal, listening and influencing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to lead projects and interact with key internal and external partners
  • Highly organized with phenomenal attention to detail
  • An ability to quickly establish trust by listening
  • A passion for social media content, success metrics and decision making based on data
  • Excellent judgment and decisiveness – a bias for action and momentum
  • Excellent influencing and networking skills
  • Strong digital and technology skills
  • Creative mind set to explore new avenues
  • Able and willing to work flexible hours to accommodate global time zones and ability to travel
